Dr. Joanne Foley BSc., DC is the owner and operator of Essential Chiropractic. With over 18 years’ experience, Dr. Foley is well versed in the treatment of musculoskeletal (MSK) and spinal conditions.

Dr. Foley graduated from Memorial University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree and moved to Davenport, Iowa in October of 1996 to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. Upon graduation in 2000, Dr. Joanne Foley worked with Dr. David Knapp DC in Hillsdale Michigan for two years in order to further her training and study.

In 2002, Dr. Joanne Foley knew it was time to return home and to provide chiropractic care to her friends and family in St. John’s and Mount Pearl

Dr. Joanne Foley opened Essential Chiropractic in 2003 with a focus on musculoskeletal injuries. Many lumbar and spinal conditions are a result of repetitive strain injuries and weakness in the stabilizing musculature of the lumbar spine and core muscles. Chiropractic care with rehab and spinal education is Dr. Foley’s focus when treating MSK conditions. Samantha is a registered massage therapist who graduated from Eastern College in 2014. She is an active member in good standing with both the College of Massage Therapists Newfoundland and Labrador (CMTNL) and the Newfoundland and Labrador Massage Therapy Association (NLMTA).
